The Libyan Center for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences has announced the recording of new marine pollution in Libyan territorial waters, due to an oil spill from a ship on August 16 off the coast of the city of Misrata, with an area estimated at 25 square kilometers. This is the second leak in just two weeks, on August 6 and 7, a larger oil spill was recorded near the city of Benghazi, with an area estimated at 273.5 square kilometers.
