The minute I feel like the pain is subsiding, it flares back up. Weaning to one crutch has been difficult. I can randomly walk without a crutch to the kitchen or to the bathroom but I can't go much further than that. Saturday morning I woke up feeling amazing but I Saturday night I was awful. Today has been extremely rough. This recovery is not for the weak! Not much else to report other than trying my hardest to juggle recovering and my kids. My life consists of icing, laying, stretching, PT exercises, gym when I can, still not able to drive, loving the hell out of my kids because I can't do much else.... It's hard to differentiate between what's normal and what's not. I need to email my PA tomorrow (I'm sure they are totally sick of hearing from me!) The hip flexor tendinitis is what's holding me back and I think I have developed bursitis in the outer part of my hip - it is extremely swollen. My muscles (adductors and piriformis to be exact) keep becoming hard solid rocks. I wish I could see my physical therapist daily to massage them out because I think I would get better so much faster. My ROM (range of motion) is getting much better from doing my stretches multiple times a day and I can tell my strength is coming back slowly. So there's that )). And despite feeling awful, I crutched it around a small pumpkin farm with the kids today. And seeing them smile made me so happy. Click here to download Hip Flexors Complete Guide PDF book.
