Letters of intent to apply for grants from the VNA Foundation. Grants will support nonprofit organizations for home- and community-based health care and health services that focus on the needs of disadvantaged people in the metropolitan Chicago area. The foundation awards program, operating, and capital grants in support of home health-care services, community and school-based services, primary care and chronic disease management, and health promotion. Priority is given to programs in which nurses provide care. To be considered for a grant, organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service and work in Cook, Lake, McHenry, DuPage, Kane, and Will Counties.

The Latino Giving Circle (LGC) is a philanthropic and educational vehicle designed by Latinos to improve the quality of life for Latino communities throughout metropolitan Chicago. As a donor advised fund of The Chicago Community Trust, LGC encourages interested individuals to pool their charitable dollars, thereby increasing the resources available to Latino communities in metropolitan Chicago. LGC supports established or emerging nonprofit organizations that effectively address issues and needs facing Latino communities. Some sectors of the community that may receive funding include education, immigration, legal and health care services. Contributions support projects that help Latinos access the tools and resources necessary to build stronger families and communities.
