Black History & Democracy at Risk: A #NewtownPA Community Town Hall

Black History & Democracy at Risk: A #NewtownPA Community Town Hall | Newtown News of Interest | Scoop.it

In lieu of this month's Bucks County NAACP General Membership Meeting, join us for a powerful town hall event to discuss the dismantling of Black history and the state of our democracy. We welcome special guest moderator, Kevin L. Antoine, and the children's performance group, Amplifying Black Brilliance (ABB).

As our nation stands at a crossroads, this town hall calls us to engage, to listen, and to act. Together, we will confront the challenges before us while celebrating resilience, creativity, and the enduring strength of our communities. Democracy and history demand our attention—and this moment calls for all of us.

johnmacknewtown's insight:

The event will be moderated by Kevin L. Antoine, political analyst, author, and veteran. Mr. Antoine served as the Chair of Newtown Township's Human Relations Commission for several years. In January 2025, the Newtown Supervisors presented Mr. Antoine with a Resolution of Appreciation for his services.

This is the second Black History Month event in Newtown. Read "Frederick Douglas Returns to Newtown Theatre".
