This name is so incredibly uncommon and old that I could find almost nothing about it. Dissecting the name roots em and eth, it would mean entire fire. At any rate, I'm head over heels about Emmeth, and this is another reason why I love names. I love finding names I never knew.

I was wondering if you knew anything about the name Silaine. It’s my friend’s name, but she doesn’t know the meaning of it. Her family is from Iceland, and it is very possible that it is a combination name, but it would be interesting to know for sure.
