WASHINGTON (AP) — TD Bank is paying $52.5 million to settle U.S. civil charges after regulators accused the bank of failing to report suspicious activity in accounts linked to a $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme.

When you've got banks involved with Ponzi schemes, only the consumer can lose.  It's time to start locking the guilty behind bars, for extended stays, and send a message to the rest of the banksters:  "We already know you're backstabbers.  Don't wave it under our noses."
