Deloitte cuts UK office temperatures by 2C to save energy

Deloitte cuts UK office temperatures by 2C to save energy | Microeconomics: IB Economics | Scoop.it
The consultancy is the latest big company to announce a drive to cut costs and carbon emissions.
Graham Watson's insight:

Consultancy firm Deloitte has announced that it is cutting the temperature in its office by 2C, as part of a package of measures to reduce its carbon emissions. In addition, it is looking to make a 50% per employee reduction in its business travel carbon emissions by 2030.

So far, so good: however, the firm has only saved £75,000 in December, and it will be interesting to see how they calculate the carbon emissions savings, and how they hold anyone responsible for achieving this target. That said, it will also enhance the company's brand image.
