If you have been told you can’t get a mortgage because your credit score is below 620, it’s NOT because VA only allows 620+ credit.

It’s because the lender you talked to only goes down to 620 score.

The fact is: VA allows approval on home purchase and refinance as low as 500 credit score.

That doesn’t mean you’re automatically approved if you’re 500+ score, but it does mean there is a chance.
