We examines how vague leadership structures and the absence of explicit decision-making rights lead to organizational failure. When leaders prioritize consensus and social harmony over clearly defined power, they inadvertently create informal hierarchies that resist change and protect the status quo. These dynamics often result in strategic paralysis, where important initiatives are stalled by "pocket vetoes" or the influence of long-tenured employees. To overcome this, we argues that companies must move beyond implied authority to establish rigid governance that enforces accountability. Ultimately, successful execution requires the courage to designate specific owners for decisions, ensuring that strategy is not diluted by a constant need for universal agreement.
