Ce que nous proposons est de créer une version DotBC de la chanson, sur laquelle on pourra inscrire tout un tas de métadonnées précises – à qui elle appartient, qui l’a écrite, qui la chante, etc. Nous allons ensuite lier les différentes versions médias de la chanson à ce fichier et l’intégrer dans notre blockchain.

The company said the expansion into Asia would give it more direct contact with clients.

"We've been growing our client base across Asia for several years now. The opening of this new office means we'll be able to meet more clients and prospects face-to-face and invest in more local events.”

Le serveur attaqué ne parvient plus à répondre à toutes les demandes et s'arrête de fonctionner. Ces attaques de plus en plus sophistiquées coûtent de plus en plus cher aux entreprises, plus de 250.000 dollars par attaque cette année selon Kasperky, un fournisseur russe de solutions informatiques.
Lorsque les experts diront que les sites publics sont victimes d'une crise d'ampleur, le HPCN déclenchera la situation de crise et le centre devra agir.
Comment? Par l'intermédiaire du Lu-CIX. Fondé en 2009, le «Luxembourg Commercial Internet exchange» a «formé» un réseau dans six centres de données du pays, capable aujourd'hui de gérer 144 gigabits de trafic par seconde – nouveau record. La conférence sera lancée par Dr. Dimitra Simeonidou qui présentera les retours d’expérience des nombreuses applications déjà en test dans la région de Bristol en Angleterre, tandis que Tanguy De Lestré jettera un regard averti sur l’impact que la 5G pourra avoir sur les villes ou communes dites "intelligentes". La grande partie de la matinée sera toutefois réservée aux débats et ateliers durant lesquels les participants pourront poser des questions et exprimer leurs propositions et idées quant au déploiement de la 5G.

The University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), together with lux-Airport, has field-tested a hi-tech airport security system, paving the way for a future without random searches and lengthy queues.
A team of scientists, technicians and lux-Airport staff worked through the night to test the intelligent end-to-end system, which analyses a passenger’s onsite behaviour, travel history and booking profile to classify them according to their ‘trustworthiness’. It then funnels Passengers into different risk-based levels of security screening (Trusted, Normal and Enhanced Risk).
FLYSEC, an EU-funded consortium of 11 partners, including the University of Luxembourg and lux-Airport, spent three years developing the system, which they put through its paces in a final field-test at Luxembourg Airport. The team installed sophisticated sensors throughout the airport to track 100 actors – playing the role of passengers – as they made their way from landside to boarding, enacting different scenarios.
Within the system, airport staff benefit from a range of state-of-the-art technology. Smart kiosks verify travel documents and use Passenger Name Record data to identify unusual booking and travel profiles. Meanwhile, using movement pattern analysis, the system alerts staff to suspicious behaviour within the airport. A web platform brings all of this information together to provide holistic airport monitoring and scenario simulation, while mobile apps provide security staff with on-the-ground operational and incident support.

Die „Virtual Reality“ (VR)-Ausstellung „1867“ schickt sich an, die Stadt Luxemburg in all ihren Facetten in einer 3D-Simulation frei erkundbar zu machen. Das Ziel: „Geschichte lebendig zu machen“, betont Pit Vinandy vom federführenden VR Creative. Zu zweit kümmert sich das Team derzeit um die Erschaffung der virtuellen Geschichtswelt.
Möglich macht das die VR-Plattform „Sansar“, wie Vinandy erklärt: „Hier lassen sich kleine eigene Reiche schaffen, die man total nach dem eigenen Geschmack designen kann.“ Die Software-Plattform ist als „Second Life“-Nachfolger gedacht - und damit auch perfekt, um das „1867“-Projekt (und damit die Geschichte Luxemburgs) auch international groß rauszubringen. „Die Plattform baut auf soziales VR“, erklärt Vinandy; das heißt, sobald es öffentlich ist, haben Menschen aus aller Welt Zugang zu der virtuellen Zeitreise. „So machen wir luxemburgisches VR international.“ Und weil sich alles in einer VR-Brille abspielt, ist die virtuelle Zeitreise-Ausstellung sogar vergleichsweise mobil - ein weiterer Vorteil.

This year - for the first time - the company has looked into the situation in the Grand Duchy. And the Grand Duchy comes out well: 13th place in the global ranking, and 6th place in the EU.

Nur ein geringer Bruchteil davon (0,8 Prozent) ließ sie wieder löschen. Die Akte soll den Austausch von Gesundheitsdaten zwischen den Medizinern und den Patienten erleichtern.
Auf die Daten können mittlerweile 237 Mediziner in vier Kränkenhäusern und drei Analyselabors zugreifen. Das DSP ist eine elektronische, persönliche und gesicherte Gesundheitsakte, die alle wesentlichen Gesundheitsinformationen der Patienten umfasst und eine bessere Überwachung durch die Ärzte ermöglichen soll. Beispielsweise kann durch das DSP vermieden werden, dass ungeeignete Medikamente verschrieben werden. Sie ersetzt nicht die herkömmliche Patientenakte, die alle Mediziner nach wie vor führen müssen. Allerdings werden wohl bald die Gesundheitsdaten aller Bürger in dem elektronischen Dokument erfasst. Darauf drängt die Regierung.

Was lange währt, wird endlich gut – so könnte man die Geschichte von “Vel’oh” in der Hauptstadt beschreiben. Bereits im April 2017 wurde eine Ausschreibung für einen neuen Anbieter durchgeführt. Im November fiel dann die Entscheidung. Der bisherige Betreiber JCDecaux Luxembourg erhielt wieder den Zuschlag. Der Vertrag hat eine Laufzeit bis 2028.
Die große Änderung betrifft den Antrieb der Fahrräder. Bislang wurden in Luxemburg-Stadt nur mechanische Leihräder angeboten. Das ändert sich nun, denn ab dem 30. November werden E-Bikes zur Verfügung stehen. Zunächst nur an 50 Prozent der Stationen, dann aber nach und nach an sämtlichen Verleihstellen. Ab 10. Dezember sollen dann ausschließlich E-Bikes verliehen werden, so der hauptstädtische Verkehrsschöffe Patrick Goldschmidt am Dienstag. Auch soll das “Vel’oh”-Netz erweitert werden. Viele neue Stationen werden geschaffen. Insgesamt warten dann an 94 Stationen 860 Fahrräder auf Kundschaft.

Celui-ci récompense les meilleures idées de business pour l’exploration spatiale. La start-up originaire de Taïwan accède ainsi à la possibilité d’obtenir à un financement de la part du gouvernement pouvant aller jusqu’à 500.000 euros.

A team of researchers from the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) has made a discovery about the defence strategies of breast cancer cells against the body's immune system.
Tumour cells can develop multiple strategies to protect themselves from the attacks of the immune system, which seeks to eliminate them. LIH researchers thus studied the defence strategies of breast cancer cells against so-called natural killer (NK) immune cells, discovering that some cancer cells are able to deploy a molecular shield that protects them from immune cells.
The NK cells, found in the immune system, can detect the abnormal characteristics of cancer cells by coming into contact with them and can release toxic substances to destroy them. In general, this attack kills cancer cells effectively and quickly. To ensure their survival and growth of the tumour, however, cancer cells are able to develop ingenious strategies to inhibit the immune system's reactions. These are the mechanisms that the team of Dr. Clément Thomas at LIH has tried to better understand to develop new therapeutic approaches for the treatment of cancer.

In four and a half minutes, L.A.I.L.A (LIST’s Artificial Intelligence Learning Avatar) pin-points several innovative technologies or solutions developed at LIST, starting its journey at street-level before gaining height towards the stars.
LIST launches a series of short news, each representing a part of the new corporate video to be found on LIST video channel. The third issue of “The daily work of an RTO” series is focused on new windshields.
L.A.I.L.A explains:
“New windshields will prevent the glass from fogging up and heating the inside of the car. The technology is perfectly invisible and, as we speak, it’s being developed and tested at LIST.”

Les trottinettes, des cas particuliers
Quid des monoroues, skateboards électriques, hoverboards? Surprise: ils ne sont pas définis par le Code de la route et sont donc, selon la police, tout simplement «interdits sur la voie publique». Voie publique qui inclut la chaussée, les trottoirs, les accotements, les dépendances, les places publiques, les pistes cyclables et les chemins pour piétons. Ils ne peuvent donc rouler nulle part ou presque!
Reste le cas des trottinettes. Particulier car cet engin, électrique ou non, n’est pas non plus défini par le Code de la route. «On pourrait les assimiler aux cycles», précise la police. «Mais selon la définition, le cycle est propulsé exclusivement par la force musculaire à l’aide de pédales ou de manivelles, ce qui n’est pas le cas d’une trottinette». Qui est donc aussi totalement interdite de circulation a priori, sauf sur les pistes et voies cyclables. Et, même si elle ne le confirme pas, la police fait néanmoins preuve d’une certaine forme de tolérance par ailleurs.
Enfin, la police précise que les skateboards, inlineboards et autres patins à roulettes sont interdits sur la voie publique sauf si un panneau spécifique l’autorise.
74 euros d’amende
Bien évidemment, le Code prévoit aussi des sanctions en cas d’infraction. Votre vélo est mal équipé? Ce sera 74 euros d’amende. Même montant si on roule sur un trottoir ou à un autre endroit prohibé. Et ce sera 49 euros de punition si vous êtes contrôlé équipé de patins à roulettes ou en skateboard dans une zone piétonne.
