Der Industrieanlagenbauer Paul Wurth zeichnete vergangenes Jahr verantwortlich, das Konzept der „Inkubatoren“ auch nach Luxemburg-Stadt zu bringen. Im Dezember 2015 unterzeichnete der Konzern eine Kooperation mit dem Wirtschaftsministerium, um neue innovative Betriebe aus unterschiedlichen Sektoren anzulocken.

The first edition of the “Blockchain Bootcamp” will take place on 15-16 April, 2016 in Luxembourg. The event is organized by Luxembourg School of Business and hosted by Arendt & Medernach. This 2-day event will consist of two parts. The first day will open with a morning conference during which a panel of experts will discuss topics relating to the Blockchain technology and its current and potential applications across a variety of industries. Following the conference, participants will engage in a day and a half long workshop, during which they will work in much more details on creating possible prototypes and/or innovative business models related to the Blockchain technology. The participants will be encouraged to think of ways how this technology could help transform their own companies/businesses. -

Désireuse de s’attaquer aux marchés voisins, la start-up Bike43 et son vélo électrique innovant a sollicité – et obtenu – un financement InnovFin de la Bil, en partenariat avec Nyuko et la Chambre de Commerce.

Par l’intermédiaire de Nyuko et de la Bil, Bike43, une start-up qui conçoit et commercialise un vélo électrique familial innovant, va pouvoir poursuivre son développement et honorer un nombre de commandes qui s’annonce croissant.

La jeune société sud-coréenne ICTK, spécialisée dans les puces de sécurisation «inclonables», a décidé d’installer son quartier européen au Luxembourg. Elle entend y profiter du climat propice à l’innovation… et à l’investissement.

Das neue HuMiX-Gerät erlaubt Forschern, die Kommunikation zwischen Bakterien und menschlichen Zellen zu beobachten. 
Im Darm kommt der Körper mit allen möglichen Bestandteilen der verdauten Nahrung sowie mit zahllosen Bakterien in Kontakt. Um die komplexen Wechselwirkungen zwischen menschlichen Zellen und Bakterien genauer analysieren zu können, haben Wissenschaftler des Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) der Universität Luxemburg ein künstliches Modell des menschlichen Darms entwickelt und patentiert. 

HuMiX – so heißt die Apparatur von der Größe eines Bierdeckels, gibt die Vorgänge in unserem Darm und die Rahmenbedingungen, unter denen die Prozesse ablaufen, sehr genau wieder. Mit dem Modell können die Forscher im Labor untersuchen, ob und wie Wechselwirkungen zwischen menschlichen Darmzellen und Bakterien Auswirkungen auf die Gesundheit oder auf die Enstehung von Krankheiten haben. Außerdem können sie die Wirkung von Probiotika und Medikamenten auf die Mikroflora analysieren.
