Eine Elektrolyseanlage in Niederkerschen soll auf 5000 Quadratmetern entstehen und Strom aus erneuerbaren Quellen nutzen.

Un parking novateur a été inauguré ce mercredi matin à Esch-sur-Alzette, dans la rue Henri-Koch. Il s’agit du premier «carport solaire» du Luxembourg, indiquent les concepteurs, c’est-à-dire un parking couvert doté de 772 panneaux solaires sur son toit. Ceux-ci sont capables de produire «273 MWh par an, de quoi alimenter la consommation électrique de 93 ménages de la commune ou d’un trajet de 1,3 million de kilomètres en voiture électrique», indique Torsten Schockmel, directeur administratif et financier de Sudstroum.

On Wednesday 20 January 2021, Luxembourg's Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning and Ministry of Mobility and Public Works inaugurated the first of 88 ultra-fast electric vehicle charging stations, known as "SuperChargy".

Present at the inauguration were Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Mobility and Public Works, François Bausch, the Minister of Energy, Claude Turmes, and the Director General of Creos Luxembourg, Marc Reiffers. Ensured by the distribution network operator, Creos, 88 ultra-fast charging stations (160-320 kW) intended for 100% electric cars are being deployed gradually until 2023.

Distributed throughout the national territory, nineteen ultra-fast charging stations will be installed on the service areas of the motorways and on the other main axes of the country. The first two SuperChargy terminals have been operational since Wednesday 20 January 2021 at the University of Luxembourg Kirchberg campus car park.

„Urban Farming“ kann die Antwort auf viele Fragen sein
Am Anfang stand das „Urban Gardening“. Mittlerweile erwächst aus dem sozialen Bürgertrend das „Urban Farming“, soll heißen eine Professionalisierung des Gemüse- und Obstanbaus als Teil der landwirtschaftlichen Produktion. Was die vorgestellten mehrfach wirksamen Dachgewächshäuser mit einschließt. Wobei das „Farming“ aber nicht das Ende der genossenschaftlichen Gärten und der Zusammenarbeit der Bewohner eines Viertels sein soll, die professionelle Landwirtschaft kommt als ein weiterer Mitspieler hinzu. Gerade für ein flächenarmes Land wie Luxemburg, das regionale Produktion immer stärker nachfragt, bieten sich diese neuen Wege an.

EU-Projekt „Greenhouses to Reduce CO2 on RooFs“ hat auch ein Standbein in Bettemburg

Es ist eine tolle Vorstellung: Dächer sollen künftig mit Gewächshäusern ausgestattet sein, in denen Obst und Gemüse gedeihen und die mit Abwärme und Abluft funktionieren. Während es solche Konzepte schon jahrelang auf verschiedenen Kontinenten gibt, arbeitet die EU nun daran, standardisierte, flexible und auch noch wiederverwendbare Gewächshäuser zu entwickeln, um solche Lösungen großflächig einzusetzen.

Eins der Pilotprojekte dafür entsteht gerade in Bettemburg am „Institut de Formation Sectoriel du Bâtiment“ (iFSB) und beim Innovationszentrum für Bautechnologien „Neobuild“ und wurde gestern Morgen im Beisein von Energie- und Landesplanungsminister Claude Turmes (déi gréng) vorgestellt. Das Projekt „Greenhouses to Reduce CO2 on RooFs“ (GROOF) läuft seit 2017 und noch bis 2021 im Interreg-Förderprogramm Nord-West-Europa mit einem Gesamtbudget von 4,88 Millionen Euro, davon stammen 2,9 Millionen aus EU-Fonds.

Could the fight against climate change become a real financial issue? The Luxembourg Stock Exchange definitely thinks so.

It's the first to list a "green bond", destined to finance only projects that meet strict criteria and are beneficial to the environment. 

Today, it created the Luxembourg Green Exchange, the first of its kind in the world.

This platform is the first ever to certify green financial instruments, intended only to finance green projects.

Grâce à de faibles émissions polluantes, une bonne gestion de l’eau et le peu de pollution aux métaux lourds, le Luxembourg atteint la seconde place du classement des pays les plus à même de relever les défis environnementaux. Il obtient un score de 82,3/100 selon l’Université de Yale.

L’Université de Yale a publié son Environmental Performance Index 2020 (EPI). Il utilise 32 indicateurs de performance répartis en 11 catégories parmi lesquelles la qualité de l’air, les ressources en eau, la gestion des déchets… censés fournir une mesure à l’échelle nationale du degré de proximité des pays par rapport aux objectifs de politique environnementale établis.

Avec un indice de 82,3 (0 étant le moins bon et 100 le meilleur score possible), le Luxembourg arrive à la seconde position. Une hausse de +11,6 en 10 ans.

Fünf Minuten laden, 100 Kilometer fahren und in einer Viertelstunde 80 Prozent der Reichweite tanken: Klingt zwar unmöglich, ist es aber nicht. Denn seit Mittwoch steht E-Autofahrern auf dem Parkplatz der Uni Luxemburg, eine neue ultraschnelle Ladestation mit zwei Säulen zur Verfügung. Ihr Name: «SuperChargy».

Der Elektromobilität folgt die Wasserstofftechnologie

Der Aufbau von «SuperChargy»-Ladestationen soll «die ständig zunehmende Anzahl von E-Autofahrern davor bewahren, unterwegs mit einem leeren Akku liegen zu bleiben», sagt Mobilitätsminister François Bausch.
Der Minister setzt ebenfalls auf Wasserstoff-Mobilität. Bis Ende des Jahres soll übrigens eine Wasserstoff-Ladestation bei Bertringen aufgebaut werden. «Wir sind momentan auf der Suche nach Partnerschaften, die uns dabei helfen würden, Pilotprojekte auf die Beine zu stellen», erklärte Bausch.
Prämie soll nach dem 31. März angepasst werden

Die Prämie für den Kauf eines Elektro- oder Hybridfahrzeugs gilt noch bis zum 31. März 2021. Die steuerliche Abzüge für den Kauf eines Elektroautos, eines E-Bikes (Pedelec) oder eines Fahrrads sollen verlängert werden, wie Minister für Energie Claude Turmes ankündigte. «Die finanzielle Unterstützung wird wahrscheinlich von der Größe des Fahrzeugs abhängen», so Turmes.
Dabei handelt es sich um die erste von insgesamt 88 Schnellladestationen, die bis zum Jahr 2023 an 19 Standorten im ganzen Land aufgebaut werden sollen.


Neben den Ladesäulen mit einer Leistung von 320 kW – auf Autobahnraststätten, Landstraßen und P&R Parkplätzen vorhanden – soll für E-Autofahrern ebenfalls die Möglichkeit bestehen, bis 160 kW Strom zu tanken. Die Liste der öffentlich zugänglichen Schnellladepunkte ist derzeit noch nicht abgeschlossen. Dennoch sei das Ziel, im ganzen Großherzogtum SuperChargy-Ladestationen zu installieren – auch auf dem Land.

The Royal Hamilius project will be bringing the first public rooftop garden to Luxembourg City towards the end of the year.

The 2,000m² rooftop and vertical gardens, designed and planned by JNC International offices, surround the glass atrium of Galeries Lafayette. To access them, visitors will be able to take the panoramic elevators onto the first terrace which opens up to a unique view of Luxembourg City centre.

According to Jérôme Carlier, Project Manager at JNC International: "A plantation made of grass and perennials, all between 60 and 80cm high, give way to tall bushes on stalks. Some facades are adorned with climbing vines, which need a surface to grow on. A surrounding promenade allows for a 360° view of the city around the panoramic MANKO restaurant". He added that "green areas will take up about 30% of the accessible surface of the roof".

The floor covering will be composed of 4cm-thick beige speckled natural stone tiles with a pattern inspired by the design of the glass roof of the atrium. Meanwhile, the terrace level of the restaurant will feature a floor composed of wooden planks.

„Groof“, ein Dach-Gewächshaus, soll die lokale Lebensmittelproduktion und eine Reduzierung der CO2-Emissionen miteinander verbinden: Im Rahmen eines EU-Interreg-Programms testet Luxemburg, wie gut das funktioniert.

Unter anderem auf den Dächern des IFSB auf „Krakelshaff“ in Bettemburg soll ein 500 Quadratmeter großes Gewächshaus entstehen. Das soll helfen, gleich in zweierlei Weise CO2 einzusparen: einerseits durch die Verwendung ansonsten nicht genutzter Gebäudewärme und andererseits durch das Recycling von CO2 – das die Pflanzen ja aufnehmen.

Luxembourg's Minister of Environment Carole Dieschbourg and Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna signed off on the launch of the first stage of the Climate Finance Accelerator on Monday.

A feasibility study, financed by the government, showed strong demand for an accelerator giving technical support to the managers of green finance funds.

The accelerator aims to help to fund managers wishing to invest in projects that have a highly measurable impact in terms of mitigating or addressing climate change.

The ministries are set to finance the accelerator with €2 million over three years.

"The launch of the Climate Finance Accelerator, together with the Ministry of Environment and eight private actors, marks an important step in developing green finance in Luxembourg and makes our financial centre a pioneer in this sense," Gramegna said.
