Der Dienst richtet sich an Kunden von Luxtrust: Jeder, der über eine elektronische Luxtrust-Identität und ein Luxtrust-Gerät oder über eine luxemburgische eID-Karte verfügt, kann auf die „COSI Home“-Plattform zugreifen. Hier kann der Nutzer ein Dokument im PDF-Format hochladen. Anschließend kann er seine elektronische Signatur auf dem Dokument anbringen und seine Luxtrust-Zugangsdaten und sein Luxtrust-Gerät zur Bestätigung der Signatur verwenden. Das elektronisch unterzeichnete Dokument steht dann über einen Zeitraum von fünf Tagen zum persönlichen Download auf der Plattform bereit. Nach Ablauf dieser Frist wird es automatisch gelöscht. LuxTrust garantiert, dass die über diese Plattform angebrachten elektronischen Signaturen rechtskräftig und sicher sind.

Das Unternehmen stellt die Einführung des Dienstes in Bezug zu der Covid-19-Pandemie. „COSI Home“ soll es auch Privatkunden ermöglichen, während der Ausgangsbeschränkungen zu Hause zu bleiben und ihren Geschäftsverkehr digital zu erledigen. Unabhängig davon ist das Angebot von LuxTrust aber auch ein Puzzlestück, dessen Fehlen in der digitalen Lebensrealität vieler Leute schon lange wie ein Anachronismus gewirkt haben mag.

On Thursday 9 January 2020, the Luxembourg-based trust services company LuxTrust opened its French subsidiary “LuxTrust France” in Paris.

In the presence of its shareholders, partners, customers and Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Health, Etienne Schneider, LuxTrust opened its French subsidiary, LuxTrust France, located on the Avenue des Champs Elysées in the centre of Paris last week.

The company, which manages the digital identity and trust services of all Luxembourg citizens and companies, has thus extended beyond national borders and is bringing its expertise to the French market on matters such as digital identity management, complete dematerialisation of processes and electronic signature.
