Is Apple failing on the low end? Have to admit it's hard having a brand appealing to all.

New Zealand-based Martin Aircraft's latest re-design of its Jetpack—the P12, technically still a prototype, the P12 is promised to be very close to the final version of the Martin Jetpack that could be available commercially sometime in mid-2014.
So the Martin Jetpack now has a price tag and a delivery date. At least according to that article.

More on the Bose SoundTouch that others have tried to do, it's good to see that Bose made a stab at this, it is more likely going to be successful in getting adoption / acceptance of the wireless music throughout the home than others due to the fact that it's married to an actual product that people already like.....One of the strategies for successful adoption a new tech (when attempting to move up the S-curve of adoption) is to marry it with another technology that is already being accepted by the marketplace.

Playing World of Warcraft with GameWAVE Are you ready to take World of Warcraft to the next level? Today developer Uwyn released a custom gesture mapping file for playing WoW with their popular game...
The Leap Motion controller looks more and more like a game controller. And it should. Cracking one application vertical before moving on to the next ones might be key to mainstream adoption.

The HP Envy 17 is a big-size laptop that has Leap Motion technology built in.
May the force be with you.
Bold move from HP by the way as I'm not sure how stable we can say the Leap Motion technology is...

The first round of reviews for Apple's new iPhone, the iPhone 5S, are out. And verdict appears to be unanimous: every writer gave the iPhone 5S an amazing review.
The iPhone 5S doesn't bring a gazillion new features: touch ID, higher speed and a better camera. But maybe that's enough to make it a hit?

One of the big improvements that comes with the iPhone 5S is a new camera system, with a faster aperture for more light throughput, bigger 8 MP sensor with correspondingly bigger pixels, dual LED color temperature matching flash, and improved ISP. I thought it worth going over some of the changes before we look at it in the review since there’s already honestly quite a lot that I’ve gathered about the 5S system just from examining EXIF on the images from Apple’s uploaded sample images gallery, what I saw in the demo room on a 5S, and what has been said publicly.
A detailed professional analysis of the iPhone 5s camera improvements. They may be hard to understand for amateurs like me, but they sound real.

Multiple consumers don't see the advantage of why buy a smartwatch, what's the real value added benefit (use case)?

I have one and I must say that this truly does feel like the "ground-floor" of NUI computing... Not perfect yet, the apps will get better. Waiting on better integration with existing OS, however it is off to a great start!

I received my Leap Motion controller back in July as it started to ship but only got a chance to try it today. I know a lot of people are disappointed by this product but I somehow set my expectations lower not expecting an awesome v1. I'm sure we're a long way from replacing the keyboard or trackpad by controllers like these as it will take a while to figure out great applications. But as you can see in this short video, gaming will be quite fun and can pave the way to a nascent market.

But I'm still wondering how I would look at it: I barely look at my watch to read time now that my phone gives it to me... and many other things.
Don't get too excited though. It's very likely the iWatch won't launch until later in 2014 at the very earliest. But that hasn't kept some designers from churning out a bunch of concept designs. The latest design comes to us from Federico Ciccarese, a designer who has come up with some great Apple gadget mockups in the past.
Meanwhile, Apple's biggest rival Samsung is going to announce its own smartwatch on September 4. That gizmo will be called the Galaxy Gear and will pair with your Samsung phone.
I spend hours looking a YouTube videos of upcoming technology...I'm holding onto my 4s and getting the iphone 6 and iWatch....bring it on 2014!!

Wow, today really is full of good news for iPad artists. I posted earlier on the big update to the excellent Procreate painting app. And now I need to mention a great looking new creative stylus for the iPad – just launched by Wacom today.
$99 price tag but hey, might be worth awakening the artist in me...
Funny to see how many styluses and keyboards have been created for a device that wasn't supposed to have any.

Kickstarter phenom myType pairs convenience and functionality to put your work at your fingertips at all times.
I haven't been a big fan of the idea of having keyboards for smartphones are iPad but this looks pretty smart.

It’s waterproof without a screen cover. In other words, nothing comes between your finger and the iPhone 5's retina display screen.
Ok so now I can take my phone with me when I go surfing.

The one big new thing in Apple's new portables is a doozy: far better battery life.
My favorite laptop just got upgraded to 2x battery life. Enough to ditch the old one? Probably not as I'm happy with the battery life of my current 2011 version as is. But probably a good deal if you're looking for a new laptop.
