It's going to take another year or two, not just for Apple but for the market, to understand what it is that consumers really want these smartwatches to do for them.

Additional data points on how the Apple Watch is failing to replicate the iPad success (see also this chart). On the bright side for Apple, it appears that they now own this market by making more than half the sales of smartwatches. But the market hasn't really been creating and the category's still not clear for consumers.
