Tamron just announced the 18-300mm (27-450mm equivalent) zoom for Sony and Fujifilm cameras. It’s Tamron’s first lens in Fujifilm X-mount and their 15th for Sony mirrorless (counting both full-frame and APS-C camera models). Measuring less than 5 inches long, focusing closer than 6 inches and selling for $699, there’s a lot to like. Here’s our hands-on review of the 18-300mm in Sony mount complete with several sample images.
Settle back. This may be something of a long read as I take you full circle with the X100V and why I chose it as my only camera for a travel assignment to Ireland. My journey with the X Series started way back in 2011 when Fujifilm released the very first iteration of the X100.
Recently Fujifilm opened up its system to a broader pool of third-party manufacturers. That's good news for consumers because we can finally see some real competition. Among the alternative players is also Tokina, one of the oldest third-party lens manufacturers for system cameras (established in 1950). So far Tokina has released a series of APS-C prime lenses for Fujifilm X and Sony E mount. In this review, we'll discuss the Tokina atx-m 56mm f/1.4 X. On APS-C cameras, the field-of-view is equivalent to "85mm" on full-format cameras. Thus it is primarily targeting the popular portrait-, still- and street-photography market. Priced at around 500EUR/$430USD, it is attractively positioned compared to the more expensive, native Fujifilm alternatives - namely the Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R.
This lens is so good first crack out of the barrel that I didn't bother pixel peeping. I KNOW what I'm seeing, and it is the next generation of Fujifilm's XF lens line, engineered for higher resolution APS-C sensors AND true hybrid shooters. This is what they HAD to do - and I am STOKED.
X100V is becoming my favourite camera the more I use it the more I love it over the other X-T3 and X-T4. Nothing wrong with these they have a purpose but I can't do such close up photography with any of my X-T cameras as easily as I can with X100V. This video is showing you how close you can get with the X100V to a subject (10 cm close) as opposed to my other X-T3 with 23mm lens.
There is only that many lenses one could own. Secretly, we all dream we could have them all. And that main reason is to help us eliminate our precious time of reading reviews after reviews. Am I right? I own both XF35mm F2 WR and the magical XF35mm F1.4. Now with the arrival of XF33mm F1.4 WR, where does this…

The Fujinon XF60mm f2.4 R Macro lens needs a story to tell. A single image is not enough. Only the noblest and most precious lenses can have such a perfect balance between sharpness and blur. Ready for a macro set and for portraits too. Its autofocus speed is not a problem if you work with … Continue reading "A lens needs a story to tell: The XF60mm Macro and my f/50 custom ring"
Fujifilm has today announced the launch of the large-diameter wide-angle prime lens “FUJINON Lens XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR” and the large-diameter standard prime lens “FUJINON Lens XF33mmF1.4 R LM WR.” Including the large-diameter wide-angle prime lens “FUJINON Lens XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR,” released in May this year, a total of three lenses form a new-generation “large diameter prime” series with superior resolution capabilities, catering to future advancement in image sensor resolutions.

We're pretty impressed with the Fujifilm 23mm f1.4 WR LM – we tell you why in our review. We also compare it to Fujifilm's original 23mm F1.4 to see how they compare.
With the Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8, Fujifilm added a second macro lens to its line of XF lenses. Unlike the XF 60/2.4, that was announced in the very early days of the XF system and is a solid, but also kind of basic design, the XF 80 features a spec sheet with almost everything that Fujifilm's marketing created a name or abbreviation for. There's an aperture ring ('R'), a linear focus motor ('LM'), a 5-stop optical stabilization system ('OIS') and of course the lens is weather-resistant, too ('WR'). On top, it's the first Fujinon XF to offer 1:1 magnification (the XF 60 only offers 1:2).
The Fujinon XF33mm f1.4 arrives after a 10 year wait. In this review, I will share real-life usage perspectives, many real life samples and discuss why the XF33mm and XF18mm f1.4 represents Fujifilm's plans for the future.
