While I am on the subject of how much I love the Fuji 18mm f/2 R, especially on the XPro-2 I thought I would share some really goofy crap with a few that might find how a lens looks out of focus interesting. If you've not noticed I take

Fujifilm X-Pro2 – My 6 month field review | Eivind Rohne

Fujifilm X-Pro2 – My 6 month field review | Eivind Rohne | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

Let me be honest. I’m not a rangefinder guy. I grew up shooting medium format and SLRs, both film and digital. I’ve barely used a Leica, and only held a Fujifilm X-Pro1 in my hands once without even taking a picture with it. That’s why I thought it would be a great idea to share my thoughts with you on the Fujifilm X-Pro2! Don’t you agree…?! Well come on in and read more about it.

X-Pro2 - Vintage'd | Jonas Rask

X-Pro2 - Vintage'd | Jonas Rask | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

Since joining the Fujifilm mirrorless eco-system, one of the things I’ve enjoyed most is using vintage manual focus lenses on the system. The amount of affordable, yet good performing, lenses out there is staggering. Not only are most of these old lenses cheap, but they also add a ton of character to the images that you simply can not get by using the newer optically perfected, ultra sharp lenses. Sharpness really isn’t all it’s cracked up to be in my book. I’d rather look at an image with soft gloomy highlights with aberrations all over the place, than a clinically perfect super shot. It’s the same with human beings. It’s our flaws that makes us unique. Its these flaws that enhance beauty by giving us immediate reference through presence of the less-than-perfect. You might not hold the same belief.......

What to Expect From the X-Series in 2016 | Rob Zeigler

What to Expect From the X-Series in 2016 | Rob Zeigler | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

As the final days of 2015 come to a close it's only fitting to look ahead and see what 2016 will bring to the Fuji X-Series. New cameras and new lenses are just on the horizon, but what else might we expect from Fuji, and what other ways might we get some added incentive to being X-Series users? Let's take a closer look at what we can expect in 2016 and share a bit of speculation about what might be just around the bend. WHAT WE KNOW: X-PRO2. The cat is pretty much out of the bag on this one. It's no secret that Fuji would eventually update their flagship rangefinder style interchangeable lens camera, but now all signs strongly point to a mid-January 2016 reveal. The strongest evidence for this was actually a slip by Magnum Photos in mid-November......

Rethinking My Fuji X Kit

Rethinking My Fuji X Kit | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it
What a long and winding road my Fuji X transition has been. In one way I've loved all of the X camera's I've owned. In other ways I've loved certain aspects of them so much I was willing to put up with their shortcomings. After having intensively immersed myself in

X-Pro2 takes on 5D3? | Ivan Joshua Loh

X-Pro2 takes on 5D3? | Ivan Joshua Loh | Fujifilm X Series APS C sensor camera | Scoop.it

Its been almost 2 years since I bid farewell to DSLR and walk into the mirrorless world. Its wasn’t an easy decision but on the hind side; its the right decision. Leaving my 1DX isn’t easy; which is a very capable camera and still hard to beat even in today’s standard. Eventually it was the size; retrolious design and IQ of X-Pro1 that won me over. Of course I had to live with the down side of X-Pro1 too. AF was its weakest link. With the recent launch of X-Pro2, I would say its now easier for many to make this same decision. Many fellow photographers have been contacting me about new X-Pro2. As I ask why are they thinking of switching? Many says its because of the weight of DSLR and their lenses. X-Pro2 with a 24MP sensor now look like a good and logical alternative. There was also a wedding photographer that I spoke to, thinking of getting two X-Pro2 for his professional work.......
