Are you looking for a collaborative project that will engage students? How about having them create videos? This post provides information on five free editing tools, three for the PC and two for the Mac. Along with a description of the tool they also provide an idea for how to use the tool with project based learning (which is not required!). The tools listed are: For the PC: * Windows Movie Maker * Wax * StoryBoard Pro For the Mac: * iMovie (not free for the iPad) * Blender There are screenshots of the first four tools and there is a brief trailer for Blender.
