According to GPOne.com, Cal Crutchlow still has damage in the knuckle of his ring finger which causes pain under strong braking and it’s doubtful that he will race in Jerez .

We’re going to talk about rules, not MotoGP rules, World Superbike rules, and not so much the rules themselves, but the breaking of those rules. There’s been quite a lot of that going on in WSB during recent years, if paddock whispers are to be believed.

Assen holds a place in my heart , winning my first World championship there in 2001 but also over the years it grew on me and even after the highs and lows it is one of my favorite places to race .

Assen (The Netherlands), Sunday 27 April 2014 – At the end of a day conditioned by bad weather, Ducati Superbike rider Davide Giugliano scored his first podium of the season in race 2 at Assen today, while Chaz Davies concluded the day’s races in seventh and eighth position.

Swing a leg over the 2014 Ducati 899 Panigale and you feel instantly like a Grand Prix racer.
Ducati has aced the test of this size sport motorcycle. The 899 Panigale marries the responsive light handling of the smaller bikes with performance that approaches that of liter-class bikes, but without the intimidating force of its 1198cc big brother or other liter and larger performance monsters.
Between the 899 Panigale rider's legs is one of the best mills yet from the Italian maker of L-shaped twin engines. It has Ducati's trademark springless valve actuation, with four valves per cylinder in the 898cc liquid-cooled motor. It pumps 148 horsepower with gobs of thrilling pulling punch.

“For sure the rider that I had the most great memories with was Troy. Actually I still miss him!”.
For Ernesto Marinelli, a man who joined Ducati at the tail end of 1995, the 2013 World Superbike season was hard to stomach.
A new bike and a succession of injuries contributed to both of Ducati's riders finishing outside the championship top ten for the first time in World Superbike history.
However a winter of internal reorganisation has given the new 'Ducati Superbike Team' some much needed momentum for 2014. Recent testing results and the pace shown at both the Phillip Island and Aragon rounds by new riders Chaz Davies and Davide Giugliano has led Marinelli to believe Ducati will be back at the front in the not too distant future.

Hollywood CG artists labored to draw complex shapes and textures into the Death Star. On this Ducati, they are real. The forward frame/airbox, made of magnesium and carrying the steering head, bolts to the cylinder heads. An accessory shaft occupies the cylinder vee, driving the water pump while an inordinate amount of space is consumed by the Superquadro engine’s tremendous exhaust pipes.

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is beginning what's being called a transitional year of racing while facing a budget deficit.
For the first time since 2005, the MOTOGP World Championship won't be stopping on the Central Coast. While the announcement regarding MOTOGP's departure was made months ago, Central Coast News has a better explanation for why there was no other choice.
Despite bringing in tens of thousands of fans each year, many of them international fans, a tough business decision was made by Mazda Raceway's CEO, Gill Campbell.

Ducati’s introduction of the Diavel powercruiser back in 2011 represented a visit to the Dark Side in the eyes of many dedicated ducatisti, who professed to scorn the Italian manufacturer’s attempt (as they saw it) to cash in on the global cruiser cult. That was until they rode it – at which point they realized that this is a completely new take on real world road riding - a combination of Superbike performance and custom cool that’s totally irrational, and gloriously addictive.

Taking over from Marco Montemaggi as the Curator of the Ducati Museum in December 2001, Olivio Lodi considers himself more of an archaeologist than a Director…“A museum director can be someone who just takes care of a structure, an archaeologist is more interesting. We didn’t have an archive prior to the creation of the museum in 1998 so as we have created the museum we have started to collect, slowly and patiently, small parts of large parts of history. Everyone knows the history of Ducati, there are lots of books about us, but nobody knows the real story about the people behind them – this is the real story of what I am collecting....”

Ducati Team heads to Argentina for next MotoGP round. Crutchlow, still convalescent after Austin crash, to be replaced by PirroAfter Andrea Dovizioso’s third place in Texas, the Ducati Team returns to the American continent this weekend for the third round of the 2014 MotoGP season. This time however, the destination will be the southern hemisphere, more precisely in Argentina at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo.

The Brits hand injury could hold him back from next weekends MotoGP round in Argentina.
Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow is questionable for the upcoming Argentine MotoGP next weekend due to a hand injury suffered in a crash during the Grand Prix of the Americas.
Crutchlow had issues with his rear tire last weekend at the Circuit of The Americas and had to pit in around nine laps into the race to change out the tire. For Crutchlow, it went from bad to worse when he crashed on the new tire and his leg got caught in the wheel, making for a very ugly, hard crash.

The Austin GP was definitely the race of the Honda domain but we shouldn’t forget it was also the race of the “return” of Ducati. Not only for the podium of Dovizioso, but also for the performance of Andrea Iannone third for most of the race before becoming a victim, like many others, of a severe wear of the front tire. “Texas was just a confirmation: in Qatar also I could have done well". The Pramac rider said recalling the first race of the season ended early with crash.

"My hand is getting better every day, but I still have some pain and it's definitely going to be difficult to ride this weekend. I'll try and see how it is from Friday and do the best job I can. Jerez is surely one of the toughest circuits to come back and ride at after my crash. It's a really great track, and the crowd are great as well, but really I'm just excited about joining up with the team again and getting back on the bike."
