A Ducati engine in a cruiser chassis? Ducati were not the first people to try this combination when they launched their Diavel behemoth in 2011, back in the 80’s Cagiva had attempted to conquer the American market with their Ducati badged and Pantah engined Indiana, a motorcycle they hoped would combine the best of two worlds.

I think this quote from the builder is going to make some people smile: "Ducati Indiana for some is not a Ducati, is a Cagiva, but for others it is the best Ducati ever made."

2015 is the 20th anniversary of the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegence and the event was also celebrating 20 years of motorcycles being an integral part of the event by inviting 60 years of Daytona high banks history to the field.
About 4 million dollars worth of past Daytona winners and entrants were on display in an incredible 60 years of Daytona winners. Lots of videos with the bikes running including iconic, rarely heard bikes like the Britten, TZ 750 and Ducati 750SS Bevel scattered thru the gallery... Vicki Smith photos
If you have never been to this event it's pretty much a You Need To Do This kind of deal. Everywhere you look it's mechanical awesomeness. I actually saw a Stutz Streamliner. Just wow.

Okay, it's only been two tests.
But the Ducati GP15 has made enormous leaps forward in two tests, leaving the Qatar two day test with rider Andrea Dovizioso on top. Faster than Marc Marquez, Lorenzo, Rossi and the rest.

Three cats. Four kids. A sprawling house in Subang Jaya, Selangor. Life for hijab-wearing suburban mum Nurulalis Aidil Akhbar seems ordinary ... until the weekend rolls around.Come Saturdays and Sundays, the 40-year-old woman shimmies into leather, slips on a pair of Aviators and hops onto a bike that’s more than four times her weight and at least twice her size. She’s now Kiki ― motorsports enthusiast, president...

The reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez commented on the blistering pace of the Ducati GP15 in Qatar. The big talking point from the first two days of the final preseason test at the Losail International Circuit has been the exhilarating performance of the new Ducati GP15, which has topped the timesheet’s on both days. The Italian...

Andrea Dovizioso fended off Marc Marquez to keep Ducati on top for a second day of MotoGP testing in Qatar. In a repeat of Saturday's session, Ducati teammates Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone and Honda man Marquez swapped the top spot between themselves through the evening, as again most riders waited...
So great seeing (my preferred version of) the correct order of the grid coming back...

Ducati's new Multistrada 1200S was already a brilliant all-rounder. For 2015 it gets a new chassis, new styling and a new 160bhp 1200 engine. It's simply stunning to ride. We rode it at the world press launch in Lanzarote. Here's our full test.

Ducati lost a piece of it's soul today
Franco Farne, legendary rider, mechanic and engineer has passed at 81. The obituaries will say he was brilliant and important, he was there at Ducati from the beginning for all of it, from the Cucciolo to the modern superbike, the stuff of Ducati legend – Paul Smart’s Imola win, Mike Hailwood’s come back to win the Isle of Man TT, that he was among the first to see the potential in Carl Fogarty, that his partnerships with Taglioni, Bordi, and NCR in particular, resulted in brilliant, stunningly fast, machines. But the thing about Franco Farne that I loved best...

The name of the three-time WSBK champion Troy Bayliss comes once more to the front page as we might just see him once more in the saddle of the Aruba Ducati 1199 Panigale superbike, substituting for injured rider Davide Giugliano. Bayliss, 45, took part in the kick-off 2015 WSBK round on his home circuit at Phillip Island, 20-22 February, and he qualified 13th on the grid, a very good performance considering his age and the fact he is… well, retired.
Really would love to see Troy on the bike again, wouldn't you?
