Yesterday, Ducati fans worldwide tuned in to a race run in the night and were treated to a day like no other. It had been a long time in the making. In the process pride was swallowed, friendships and careers destroyed, help was sought from unlikely places and the total team structure was turned upside down. But the light at the end of the tunnel turned out to be the 3600 bulbs that light the Losail Circuit, where every night since Thursday the Ducati team took to the track on the all new GP15 and looked more and more likely in possession of what could legitimately be described as a track weapon. Frankly it seemed too good too soon.

Honda has confirmed that Casey Stoner was return to racing for a one off outing at this year's Suzuka 8 Hours. The double MotoGP champion will make his debut at the famous endurance race in July alongside Michael van der Mark and on a Takumi Takahashi on July 26.
“After riding the bike in Sepang a few months ago, I’ve been speaking closely with Honda about the possibility to take part in Suzuka," said Stoner. "It’s always been an event I wanted to do and something I was never able to consider when I was racing in MotoGP, due to our busy schedules, so I’m really looking forward to taking part. The bike is very different to a MotoGP machine, but it will be a new challenge and a chance for me to try something new and unlike what I’ve been used to in my racing to this point.”
Stoner's return for the race has been heavily speculated but the confirmation is sure to see interest in the event surge and for HRC vice-president, Shuhei Nakamoto, the opportunity to have Stoner and van der...

The Dainese archive houses all the suits, secrets and technological innovations that have made motorcycling history over the past forty years. Archived – the fourth episode of the Dainese Webseries – recounts how the work of the brand has changed over the course of the year’s thanks also to the feedback from the professional riders who have always collaborated with Dainese.
With over 1000 suits, gloves, boots etc. the Archive is not just a unique collection but is a tool that helps Dainese better understand how to improve safety for both professional and amateur riders. Every item in the Archive marks an epoch, a victorious world championship series - an innovation. Since the introduction of the back protector to the D-air airbag system, every great champion has made his contribution to make motorcycling an increasingly safer sport both on the track and on the road.
This gives the Archive a special importance. It proves that competition is vital for safety on the road because the innovations that inspired this safety are now worn by motorcyclists the whole world over.
One of many things we have Kenny Roberts Sr to thank for - knee pucks
