I've followed the murky circumstances that surround Monterey County's desire to replace its current promoter with a new organization to run its Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca property, and as far as I can tell, it's a job no one would want, and it's being offered by a group that's lost touch with reality.

Ducati came right out of left field with an Italian/American bike styled after the do-it-all scramblers of the 60s and 70s. And boy has it been a huge success - the Scrambler has boosted Ducati's global sales by some 25% since it launched. Loz takes it out for a couple of days for a brief road test.

We’re happy to announce that we are returning to Lino’s on Friday, August 7th from 6-9pm for the MotoGP DOC Dinner. Lino’s serves handcrafted coffee, authentic Italian food and have a full service bar with local craft beers on tap and it's the Ducati place to be on MotoGP Friday night at 6pm.
This year we have expanded the menu to include Spaghetti and Meatballs and Lino’s has upgraded their kitchen so they can keep the food coming.
Along with a great Italian dinner, we’ll have games and plenty of prizes throughout the night.

The ride and scenery were nothing short of stunning, and the group was packed full of passionate Ducatisti.

Booms of thunder and flashes of white lightning worried race teams early Sunday morning as rain hit most of the Monterey Peninsula, but it didn’t scare Ducati factory rider Chaz Davies who took back-to-back wins upon his factory Ducati motorcycle.
