The South Dakota Digital Archives was launched in January 2012 by the South Dakota State Archives to provide digital access to unique historical photographs and records. Visual images form an essential part of the documentation preserved in the South Dakota State Archives.

Over 8000 of Alison’s original fine art prints are in public and private collections. There are 15 books of her work so far, including the book she wrote about photographing Martha’s Vineyard, and five cookbooks. She teaches photography workshops on the Vineyard every fall (since 1988), in Maine every July, and a number of international locations since 1995.

Vibrant fruit, luscious shapes, verdant leaves, a hint of ripeness and the beginning of rot. The images in Early American — Sharon Core’s latest collection — easily fit into the traditions of still life painting, which was always more than just about pictures of fruit and flowers.
