Crystal Grids for Healing

So here's the thing: a lot of people have no idea what to do with their crystals. But crystals are amazing amulets to promote self-care, reminding you of your dedication to your health and wellness. They keep you accountable. They keep you on track. They can help train us to take our power back, taking control over the direction we want our health to go.

Making your own crystal grid

One of my favorite things to do is to make a crystal arrangement for a certain goal that I am working on.  This is easier to do if you have a collection of stones, but you can do this with as little as 3 or 4 stones.

I highly encourage you to get creative and make your own crystal layouts for your grid.  There is no wrong way to do this!

Here's how to make your own:

1.  Think about your intention.  Let's use the example of someone who wants guidance and clarity with finding a new job that will help her to line up with her life's purpose.  Yours can be more or less specific.  Meditate on it for a bit.

2.  Think about which chakra the intention pertains to. 

3.  Break down the intention even more:  here we have the words guidance, clarity, job, align, life's purpose.  What stones bring out these qualities?  Set these crystals aside.  

4.  Here's where you get to combine intuition with creativity.  Find a sacred and safe space for your grid.  Then, get arranging.  I like to place my biggest stone in the center of the formation and then create a North/South/East/West form with four medium stones.  Then, I fill in the gaps with smaller stones to form a circle around the center stone.

5. Bonus:: Place a letter of intention under your largest stone.  Putting things in writing adds to the power of your intention.

Sometimes, you just need a little space. Sometimes, you need a little room to breathe. To think. To reflect. Having your own little space to take a little space for yourself, can be a total game changer for your personal well-being.

Personal altars are a great tool for the modern witch. They're a great tool for the modern woman. They're a small space with only your most cherished items. These little relics of your choice act as a reminder to put yourself first, to breathe, and to stay in line with your inner magic.

But an altar serves as much more than a space for personal reflection. You can work with it to study your crystals; to practice tarot, palm reading, crystal reading or reiki; to focus your intentions on positivity and affirmations; to journey or meditate - to read - and so much more.

Some are proven, some are not and there are probably a few more unproven methods that haven’t been mentioned too. Start with the proven, gauge how crystals feel before and after cleansing and again, before and after charging….then go for it with the unproven methods.
