The dizzying array of social media tools can be overwhelming. My favourites for teaching and building a professional community are Scoop.it and Twitter. I love Scoop.it because of its accessilbity and how I can connect with people all over the world. The influence of social media is incredible as the statistics on the graphic on this blog show and as educators, we need to think about the implications of this for teaching and learning.
