One other aspect of these several years of recession seems to be that teens are delaying driving and car ownership due to costs. Unfortunately, this has also led to teens not taking the same amount of driver's education in their high school years which, in turn, has led to an increase in accidents involving young adults between 18 and 20 years old. As an attorney that deals with accidents involving younger drivers in their late teens and 20's, I am highly in favor of further requirements for driver's education prior to license issuance as a means to lower this trend.
