It appears that this fatal car crash started with a vehicle trying to pass over a double yellow line on this stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway in Orange County, CA. California Vehicle Code 21460 prohibits driving to the left of a solid double yellow line for purposes of trying to pass another vehicle. These markings are in place to indicate an stretch of road where there is not sufficient length and or visibility for passing. This is a tragic loss of human life and a needless infliction of bodily injury due to a careless disregard of basic roadway safety!
Terrible accident photos. Among the worst I've seen as a #caraccidentattorney.
