Le projet artistique collaboratif Pink Intruder a créé le « Ekklesia Pavilion » dans la ville de Valence en Espagne qui abritait le Fallas festival en Mars dernier. Le but principal de cette installation était d’être brûlée pour célébrer l’arrivée du printemps. Le sol du temps a été confectionné à l’aide 96 000 pièces de céramique traditionnelle.

La lumière est une idée maîtresse de l’architecture de Victor Horta. C’est elle qui conditionne les structures architecturales utilisées dans ses nombreuses créations. En effet, les fines structures métalliques qu’il favorise permettent de diminuer autant que possible la maçonnerie et, partant, de faire pénétrer la lumière à foison. C’est d’abord cette recherche de lumière qui conditionne l’emplacement des cages d’escalier et des lanterneaux : permettant à un flot lumineux de rebondir depuis le toit jusqu’au rez-dechaussée.

Inauguré demain, le Louvre d'Abou Dhabi ouvrira ses portes au public samedi avec des concerts et des spectacles de danse donnés jusqu'au 14 novembre par des artistes du monde entier. La "ville-musée", conçue par l'architecte français Jean Nouvel, a été construite sur l'île de Saadiyat et est le fruit d'un accord inter-gouvernemental signé en 2007 entre Paris et Abou Dhabi. L'Agence France-Muséums supervise les engagements français, notamment l'assistance, l'expertise et des prêts de 13 musées français (au total 300 oeuvres à l'ouverture). D'une durée de 30 ans, l'accord, qui inclut la marque Le Louvre et l'organisation d'expositions temporaires, totalise un milliard d'euros...
