As a teacher, I found this article to be insightfil and affirming. I like that it highlight the evolving educational landscape and emphasizes the importance of using technology purposfully and connecting lesson to real world context. This article underscores that shifting to more student-centered approches that build citical thinking collaboration and creativity. As an upper elementary teacher, I see this action when kids work together research projects, use digital tools to share thier learning and actually apply knowledge in real life issues. This approach prepares students not just for tests, but for life.

As a K–5 educator, I appreciate Andrew Marcinek’s emphasis on using technology with purpose. In my classroom, tools that support specific learning goals—like phonics apps or digital storytelling—enhance student engagement without replacing hands-on, social learning. I also value his reminder to avoid tech overload by focusing on a few reliable tools. Ultimately, his call for balance aligns with my goal: to integrate technology in ways that enrich learning while preserving the human connections at the heart of teaching.
