The oil and gas industry has had a far worse impact on the climate than previously believed, according to a study indicating that human emissions of fossil methane have been underestimated by up to 40%.

Tenemos que identificar que lo más importante a destacar es que el impacto se subestimó hasta en un 40%. Esto evidencia que no solo hay fallas en la medición técnica, sino una falta de veracidad por parte de la industria. Si las empresas no reconocen la magnitud de estas fugas como en el caso de Ohio, es imposible que se autorregule todo lo que produce y genera el modelo del fracking.
