The way we watch TV has changed. While the TV is still the largest screen in the house and retains an important role in day-to-day life, for many people the linear viewing schedule no longer dictates when and where we are consuming content.
As a result, the majority of viewers are now 100% in control of how they consume TV content, with many embracing the chance to watch what they want, when they want it. This means that an expanding portion of the population are increasingly available to connected TV (CTV) advertising. In fact, four in 10 viewers now say that online video services are their main way of watching television and film, while most people with access to SVOD services are heavy viewers of the medium.
