Blab
There are conversations going on now you would probably find interesting. What if you had a tool that let you listen in on conversations? My friend Eric Garrision, CEO of WTE.net , is stopping by later.

Eric and I will discuss what worked this holiday selling season for his 300 e-commerce clients. What if you could hear that conversation. May prove helpful right? Blab may make just such an impromtu real-time tap into Eric and my conversation about the future of e-com possible.

And that could be cool :). Marty

Funky Webdesign Ideas [some great, some horrible]

Funky Webdesign Ideas [some great, some horrible] | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it
If you spend enough time online, it's surprising how much most websites start to look alike. Sure, there are variations, but to a large extent, web design is

Wow, some cool web design ideas here and some HORRIBLE ones. I like Wolf & Badger: https://www.wolfandbadger.com/ Current site doesn't look like the FLASH example.

Never use Flash at this point as it kills SEO and its not "trending" in the right direction). Some of these ideas are a mess, but see which ones are your favorites. Always good to see where the line is. Some of these sites are well over the line.

New design isn't as funky, but it is solid. The idea of walking a customer into the middle of a strange fantasy seen and letting them find their links would not normally be something I would like since it obscures instead of makes clear.

The Online Shop (lower right) is what sold me on this fantasy. I also think we are in a time when sites are sites and so BORING. The Flash needed to be killed but check out the link to there new site and see if you don't still rock a good design.

Why Slideshare ROCKS Content Marketing and SEO [for Startups]

Why Slideshare ROCKS Content Marketing and SEO [for Startups] | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it
Slideshare may be the most powerful content marketing tool around. Few realize its power so your Internet marketing team's Slideshare use could be disruptiv

Slideshare Is Content Marketing For Startups
If you are a startup and you are NOT putting all those slide presentations you are creating to get money and define your market on Slideshare you are NUTS. I've met with many startups and they are all overwhelmed and under-contented.

The last thing any of these geniuses think about is creating online communication to define their passion. They ALL create presentations and maybe, just maybe, taking an extra 10 minutes to load those presentations up to Slideshare may kill the proverbial two birds with a single stone.

Sharing your slides on Slideshare isn't as robust as I would like Startups to attack content marketing, but it beats NOTHING. AND I'm betting most will find it easy to accomplish save for one issue - protecting secrets.

Here's the thing. What you are doing isn't as secret as you think (by half) and the more feedback you get the sooner the better your chances of success. If something feels uniquely yours remove it from your presentation or mask it. If you are smart enough to create a cool app or the next generation SaaS tool then you can figure a way to get your content on Slideshare. Right?

30 Black And Blue Web Designs Inspire [examples]

30 Black And Blue Web Designs Inspire [examples] | Daily Magazine | Scoop.it

Details of the website as featured within CoolHomepages web design inspiration gallery.

Marty Note
Blue is a great color. There is a reason blue is many of your visitor's favorite color. Online blue is soothing, easy on the eyes and beautiful against black. My favorite is the UK design "un.titled.co.uk" (used as the image above).

Love using opacity to "hide" things in plain view as that kicks in the curiosity of visitors and gets the click. Current Un.titled site isn't as interesting or special as the design noted here. . Love blue online and these examples show why.

Everlane is rockig retailing at its core. By treating its customers as "members", using technology to suppot WOW customer service and controlingth means of production Everlane is creating a fun experience and loyal customers.

I admire them for going black on Black Friday. They put a simple page with white type on black statign why they were opting out of Black Friday madness. Well done and probably generated millions in free PR.

Everlane looks reading to rock.
