I used to think of using the SAMR and TPACK tech integration models as "climb as high as you can" models. Now I see them differently.

I enjoy reading Matt Miller's insights and agree with his sentiment (and Glenda's) that solid content and pedagogy are the foundations on which we can add tech to transform learning.  I also appreciate that there are times when augmentation and modification of a task will meet my learning objectives, I won't have to climb to the top of the mountain to succeed.  I like Matt's wheel analogy regarding the areas TPACK, they need to balanced so the wheel spins smoothly.

An interesting insight of which I wholeheartedly agree! The level of technology integration is dependent on the lesson at hand - classroom tech use does not always have to be at the modification and redefinition levels
