La page de VideoNot.es est découpée en deux partie : à gauche, l'espace réservé à la vidéo. Il suffit d'entrer l'URL de la vidéo (rappelez-vous : provenant uniquement de YouTube ou des plateformes de MOOCs) pour que le lecteur apparaisse. À droite, l'espace réservé aux notes. L'éditeur est on ne peut plus simple, mais on n'est pas là pour faire de la mise en page, juste pour prendre des notes.

Voici l'outil le plus simple et surtout celui qui me fait gagner un temps de fou lorsque je sous-titre ma vidéo... Ça s'appelle Easy YouTube caption creator, et c'est un site web qui fonctionne de la manière suivante. Vous entrez l'URL de la vidéo, vous copiez/collez ou écrivez le texte des sous-titres totalement en vrac en faisant un retour à la ligne tous les 10 mots environ... puis c'est là que la magie intervient. Le site vous proposera de lire la vidéo et d'appuyer sur la touche "a" à chaque fois qu'une phrase arrive. Et hop, à la fin, ça vous proposera de télécharger le .sub qui va bien. There's an overview of this tool on YouTube. Note: this tool is no longer being developed as YouTube's automatic captioning has somewhat overtaken this tool. If you already have a transcript and if the audio in your video file is clear enough, YouTube can probably work out the timings automatically.

Robin Good: YouTube has released a new set of features for video-makers of all levels which allow you to replace your video's soundtrack for free with a song from the YouTube library of hundreds of thousands of audio tracks.
To try it out, go to your Video Manager, select Edit, select Enhancements, then select Audio.
From IBTimes: "In the latest update to the video-sharing site, YouTube is rolling out new audio editing tools that will make it easier for uploaders to layer several audio tracks on top of one another.
Prior to the update, YouTube offered an AudioSwap feature that let users replace a video's audio track with one of the company's thousands of licensed audio tracks.
The new update has catapulted YouTube's licensed track count to more than 150,000. The update will also give YouTube uploaders the ability to adjust volume levels on each track .
...
Prior to the latest update, users could add licensed tracks to videos, but the audio levels could not be adjusted -- it would simply replace the video's audio track.
The latest audio editing tools will be rolled out over the next few days. To try them on the video's you've uploaded, go to "edit settings" from the video manager."

Being able to add soundtracks to your own videos that you upload to youtube is amazing. Youtube has this feature so you can do just that for free. You have a large variety of different soundtracks to choose from.
