Moodle and Web 2.0

Moodle 2.7.2 has been released with several small enhancements and upgrades to the software. Improvements include several fixes to stats and the gradebook in addition to Atto (both autosave and Mathjax improvements). in all over 140 issues in the Tracker were addressed for this Moodle release thanks to Moodle HQ and the open source community. Full release notes can be found here.

Moodle 2.6.5 also received minor fixes and enhancements, the 2.5 branch is now only receiving security and dataloss fixes.

The latest release of Moodle took 6 months, 104 developers and resolved over 500 issues. It’s been interesting to hear about first the implementation of automated testing and now visualize the growth since 2.5.
