My wife asked me, “What took you the longest in your life to understand?” I don’t know if I understand anything in my life. I don’t say this with self-modesty. Every day I learn something where I say to myself, “why didn’t I learn that before?” But I know the answer to my wife’s question: it …

Nuts and Bolts: Working Out Loud: What's In It for Organizations? by Jane Bozarth : Learning Solutions Magazine | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
There’s a lot of conversation lately about working out loud and the benefits it brings to individual workers. At the same time,
however, it’s a tough sell to make to leaders in some organizations. Here are the five chief benefits to the organization,
explained in a way that’s hard to argue with!

A lot has happened since I wrote The 5 Elements of Working Out Loud in early 2014. The book came out, Working Out Loud circles started forming, and those peer support groups are now in fourteen countries and spreading inside a wide range of organizations. Based on all those people putting the ideas into practice, we’ve been able to observe what works…

Pobrecitos

I’ll admit to being surprised at being asked. One reason is that I have an aversion to most management programs – talent management, performance management, innovation management. Also, I never expected the Human Resources department of a large global firm to link Working Out Loud with leadership. But they did. Introducing Working Out Loud via HR and executive development presented…

In Real Life: Enabling Your Knowledge-Sharing Advocates by JD Dillon

In Real Life: Enabling Your Knowledge-Sharing Advocates by JD Dillon  | #HR #RRHH Making love and making personal #branding #leadership | Scoop.it
In an ideal world, workplace information and experience would flow together into a powerful collection of shared knowledge.
Employees and teams would know what to share and how best to share it. L&D would focus on tools and enablement rather
than content and control. Sorry to disappoint, but we don’t live (or work) in that world. Yet we could. Here’s how to get on
the road to that world.

PKMastery is an essential discipline, especially for knowledge artisans. However, practising PKMastery is not going to get work done. PKM is primarily a framework to facilitate learning in networks through cooperation. In order to collaborate, more structure is necessary, as well as agreed-upon rules for sharing knowledge. Group Knowledge Management (KM) takes PKMastery to the next level: getting things done.
