Four Ways to Think About Using ThingLink - Rethinking ThingLink

Four Ways to Think About Using ThingLink - Rethinking ThingLink | Into the Driver's Seat | Scoop.it

"Thinglink is a powerful tool, and some new uses are making it even more compelling. Beyond creating pictures with links, images, and videos, a “next level” exists that turns ThingLink into a powerful organizer, aggregation tool, and curator."

A pretty nifty way to insert signposts on a screenshot to display  pop up instructions

Whoa, just whoa.   ThingLink is so cool and what a great way to densify creative products and engage a diversity of learning pathways!    I am going to include this in my next resume for sure.

ThingLinkToolkit - Edmodo

ThingLinkToolkit - Edmodo | Into the Driver's Seat | Scoop.it

Edmodo is a free and secure social learning platform for teachers and students to collaborate and connect in the 24/7 classroom. The design and functionality of Edmodo is similar to Facebook, but the focus is on teaching and learning within a protected environment. Students don't even need an email account to sign up.
Teachers and students can extend the learning by posting messages, holding online discussions, picking up work and turning it in. Edmodo supports a variety of multimedia to provide students with flexible learning paths including links, images, video and interactive graphics created withThingLink.

Perhaps an engaging assignment for students would be to publish an interactive graphic to be explored prior to class. This type of assignment can provide students with background knowledge, front load the learning and level the playing field to prepare students for success in class

A ThingLink Channel for Teachers

A ThingLink Channel for Teachers | Into the Driver's Seat | Scoop.it
Beth Dichter's insight:

ThingLink continues to add new features for educators, and one new item is the ability to create a ThingLink Channel (and you can also  create a class and have your students create ThingLink). Check out this interactive album that provides access to some posts from the ThingLink blog...and if you have not yet created a ThingLink account you might want to head over to ThingLink (http://www.thinglink.com/) and create an account.

Kimberly House's curator insight, February 22, 2014 6:28 AM

Love ThingLink and now it's even better for teachers and classes! Teachers can see all their students' work in one place. Teachers can add student accounts. I'm interested to see how it works on the iPad and am hopeful that these features are transferred to the app as well. ThinkLink is a great product and I'm pleased to see it getting better and more useful for education.
