Careful editing can make such a difference to your writing, as there is so much more to think about than just spelling, grammar and sentence construction.

There is no curation without original content. However, curators can expand the readership and help their niche find meaning and insight in the material as it relates to them. 

There is too much information. The author explains that the real power of content marketing lies in the orginal content creation. Mixing curated content with your original content builds authority. There is a video "Is Your Content Good Enough To Be Curated"? That's where it is for all of us that write. Why would anyone curate my post?

Are you sending potential new customers to old content on your blog that is out of date?

Or….….do you have old content on your site that never gets any traffic?

Both of these things are bad for your site, so you need to do something about them.

And here’s why. Producing new content on a regular basis may not always work as you would expect it....

The following are the remainder of the tips I learned the first year of blogging.

Take action. Do a little bit everyday.

It is easy to get caught up in reading, learning and planning on the internet. Plan away but if you don’t take action then you will get nowhere. If you don’t know where to start, then break your blog down into baby steps.

Take a week to map out your niche, then the next to map out what you want to include in your site? The following to come up with a logo and tagline and so on. You may need less than a week for each task.
