This is a great visual representation of the power and learning opportunities of mistakes. The parent population needs to realize that greater and deeper understanding comes from making and correcting mistakes than memorizing merely to get the reward of a grade.

All good insights I particularly like Lead from possibility, not probability.

I particularly like the part that concerns to train for positive assertion versus constant compliance. The compliance to please teachers versus the ownership of learning all to please parents often provides a conflict for me.

This is an important article. Some teachers find themselves in situations where they are teaching ethical behaviour to children. This is worth a read. |

Powerful testimony about value congruency and a journey well traveled. Dennis hits it right we he states "If you find congruency, stay put. If not; change the culture of your workplace, or change your work place." Sage advice.
Knowing your core values, and having the skill to assess the practiced values in your work environment, will result in a more significant and possitive difference in work attitudens and performance.
Thanks for your openness and honesty Dennis! |
