En este artículo del diario "La voz de Galícia" Manuel Castells, líder en el estudio de la revolución digital y las revoluciones sociales, económicas y políticas, denuncia el distanciamiento entre los políticos y sus ciudadanos. Critica especialmente el hecho que los canales de participación que son propios de las sociedades democráticas, para que sus ciudadanos puedan expresarse libremente, en la mayoría de sociedades están actualmente cortados, como en el caso de España.
