Geemik Maria Açucena Da Silva's curator insight, October 11, 2016 6:30 AM

"Selon Albert Bandura, un psychologue canadien, le collaborative learning est la capacité d’apprendre avec et grâce aux autres. On a affaire à une réelle mise en commun des connaissances et compétences permettant aux différents collaborateurs de se compléter, d’avancer ensemble dans la même direction tout en se formant".

The "Art" of Sailing...and Collaborative LEARNing (from GUEST BLOGGER Laurence Raw)

To negotiate stormy waters, a crew must learn to act together; to take into account their differing strengths and abilities and use them to forge a prosperous community dedicated to the tasks in hand.

This should also be the basis of every learning experience; to negotiate the stormy waters of criticism, funding, syllabus or classroom issues, members of an academic community – whether at the school or university level – should take heed of the ship’s crew, and learn how to work inclusively rather than exclusively.

How Twitter is Reinventing Collaboration Among Educators

How Twitter is Reinventing Collaboration Among Educators | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

TWITTER TRANSFORMS EDUCATORS

Before the advent of Twitter, most educators I know had limited opportunities to collaborate with colleagues outside their building. Some subscribed to listservs or participated in online forums, but these outlets lacked critical mass; teachers also networked at in-person conferences and training sessions, but these isolated events didn't provide ongoing support.

Enter Twitter. I've heard many educators say that Twitter is the most effective way to collaborate and that they've learned more with Twitter than they have from years of formal professional development.

Here are some of the specific ways educators are using Twitter to collaborate:

Sonia Thomas's curator insight, May 27, 2013 6:53 PM

Twitter provides a great opportunity to collaborate with educators outside of your local physical community. The exchange of ideas and perspectives can reenergize your career. “Twitter is often just the introduction — the virtual handshake that opens the door to a deeper collaboration”

The ART Of Collaboration (Collaborative Behaviours)

The ART Of Collaboration (Collaborative Behaviours) | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it
If people are given the right tools and the right environment, will they spontaneously collaborate and share knowledge? Why do some people find it difficult to share and collaborate? Would incentives and rewards make a difference?

Collaboration in the workplace is now high on the priority list of many organisations seeking to leverage social technologies to free-up knowledge and provide opportunities for co-creation, co-production and innovation.

Gust MEES: I was one of the TOP10 Knol authors (Google Knol discontinued its service as on May 1, 2012) and I was involved in a lot of collaborative articles with multicultural authors and it was a very positive experience... I hope one day having the same opportunity back again on WordPress now...

One of our "old knols" (created on  November 02, 2010 [we were pioneers]) is being migrated to WordPress here if you would like to check it:

Peer to Peer U – A New Model of Learning

Peer to Peer U – A New Model of Learning | 21st Century Learning and Teaching | Scoop.it

Knowledge used to be the sole domain of the individual, highly educated expert. A professor with a PH.D. or a carefully researched and written book were the best sources to find out about something. This is a model of learning that has held sway since the earliest human societies formed and people with particular fields of expertise taught other members of their groups. The Internet and social media have dramatically changed what it means to know something, and initiatives like Wikipedia are reshaping where we turn for "expert" information. Social collaboration and meaning making are allowing for knowledge to be the domain of a collective group rather than any individual. A recent study even revealed that Wikipedia is now as accurate as the Encyclopedia Britanica.

The P2PU Model

P2PU works on the premise that everyone has something to offer, the idea that passion for a subjects can substitute for expertise, and that social interaction is the key to motivation and learning. The motto of the institution is, "learning for everyone, by everyone, about almost anything." While this crowd-based model of expertise cannot substitute for the highly educated scholar’s years of research and careful consideration of a single topic, it does provide a potentially good source of entry-level knowledge to many subjects.
