Dealing with Depression

You have more power over depression than you may think. These tips will help you feel better.

Depression drains your energy, hope, and drive, making it difficult to do what you need to feel better. But while overcoming depression isn’t quick or easy, it’s far from impossible. You can’t beat it through sheer willpower, but you do have some control—even if your depression is severe and stubbornly persistent. The key is to start small and build from there. Feeling better takes time, but you can get there if you make positive choices for yourself

Grieving the Life You Expected: Nonfinite Grief and Loss

Good article on nonfinite grief.  This type of grief deals with loss moments in life or where we think we should be and are not.  Or what we wish we had and how it impacted us.  It is difficult to deal with but something that needs to be faced.  Not all loss is finite or a result of a specific loss that is tangible.  Dreams and other issues of what we wish had been are also loss.

Mathilde Moulbach's curator insight, December 20, 2023 2:38 AM
In this article, we learn tricks which aren't treatments, so information is to be taken with a grain of salt, however, the advice given is legit. We are told to prioritize sleep, a good life hygiene, exercise like doing yoga and meditating have been shown times and times again to reduce stress, anxiety and have a positive impact on depression. Avoiding being alone is also one of them. In conclusion, this article helps you find a good life balance but not a permanent solution if you suffer from depression. In fact, these are preventive activities to live a happier, healthier life but definitely not a depression treatment.
