Okay…coming back on line. Sorry about being so cryptic on Wednesday, but I was having a human moment-in-time.

For explanation to you all; I personally knew Allison Parker, the reporter killed yesterday in Virginia who was a reporter I worked with here at my real job. I was a local news person, as she was, for more than 20 years, 13 of them in the same place and doing the same work day-in and day out.   I also knew the shooter in years past, as a reporter when we did similar jobs and worked on several stories as competitors.    But competition, jealousy, hate, nothing in-fact, could begin to explain what happened Wednesday morning.  It has tossed the very small fellowship of local news people across the USA on its head.

Throw in a check-up day for Mrs. Thumpy’s ‘fight’ that had us a little on edge…’just needed a little head-shed break to get the focus back.

Cancer sucks; kick its ass.  Hate sucks; be kind to each other. Smile.  Quit the drama.  Life is too short.  As the families of some of the folks we’ve shared stories for here recently will willingly tell you…  Daylan’s getting better. Paintball mourns the loss of their “founder.”   Just focus on LIFE and not on the other noise.
