A new feature on Facebook is giving the world insight into your life – and you may not even know it.
Truth be told, most people who post a Facebook Live video intend to be seen. But they may not know that they’re on a “Live Map” feature provided by Facebook itself. Currently, it appears to only work on desktop computers.
And as the name implies, it’s a live map of all public Facebook broadcasts around the world that have location enabled.
It turns out there are quite a few. It also turns out that there are a few recurring themes that you may spot while surfing through this very interesting video web.
Check it out https://www.facebook.com/livemap

Do you have a social media campaign marked on your marketing planner? Are you out of cool new ideas to try? To inspire you, we’ve rounded up a bunch of brilliant and successful social media campaigns run by rockstars in the social media marketing industry.
Every campaign is a cycle of three phases – planning, execution, and analysis. The planning phase is by far the most important because it is during this stage that you’ll have to draw up plans for the entire cycle. If your campaign is based on a weak premise, it’ll probably fall through and that would be a disaster because you just cannot fix a campaign halfway through a cycle, you just wouldn’t find the time. Avoid that scenario with a strong start, on the back of a strong campaign idea.
In the last few years, customer-centric, visually appealing and inventive social media campaigns have begun to take precedence over promotional broadcasting. Brands have started investing in engaging customers on their owned media by offering them fresh, unique and useful content – a kick-ass way of converting views into buys and loyalty. Here are 10 awesome and unique approaches to social media campaigns.

There are certain things that will stop you in a scroll down an Internet page. The sight of an attractive, voluptuous, bikini-clad female arching her back on a beach is one of them. But on a politically correct site like LinkedIn, on which posts from users should have a certain formality and austerity, these images—please pardon the expression—stood out.
Accompanying the pic was one line of text: Is this appropriate for LinkedIn?
Social media is very crowded and to stand out takes not following the norm.
In most cases there is someone selling what you sell.
How does your businesses stand out from others?

Content marketers are facing their most daunting challenge yet. We survived the content glut with solid, documented strategy. We have made great strides toward properly measuring and attributing our content marketing ROI. But the next big bad is even bigger and badder than those obstacles: It’s the Fearsome Social Media Algorithm.
The Algorithm Monster already turned our Facebook streams into trickles. Now Twitter and even Instagram are falling under its spell. The once mighty organic platforms are becoming increasingly pay-to-play. Can marketers beat these algorithm-based feeds to get our content to our audience?

In order to grow, every company needs to acquire new customers and sustain the ones they have. This is particularly hard for many small business owners since they are usually afraid of sales and marketing. They are also bad at keeping their customers since they are so focused on getting new ones in the front door, the existing ones leave dissatisfied out the back door. Companies need to develop processes that attract, convert and retain customers if they are to be successful in the long run.

The concept of the marketing funnel has been with us since the early twentieth century, and remains a useful tool for understanding the path by which consumers interact with businesses. According to the funnel metaphor, customers travel in stages from awareness to purchase, the funnel getting narrower at each stage as some customers drop off and do not move to the next stage. In order to get a sufficient number of customers to purchase your products, you must attract a greater pool of customers at each preceding stage in the funnel.

As more tech firms employ their own editing staffs, they are being viewed as something less than news organizations, but more than simple reflections of their growing audiences.
Is Facebook, like so many other social networks curating the content we see? Many think so.
Algorithms work great for some things, like suggesting content for us to review, but there's no replacing the human mind to curate it.
“Where curation picks up,” said Ankur Thakkar, the editorial lead of Vine, “is that you need human eyes and ears to pick up on a cultural trend that a machine might not see.”
Us content curators really know how true this statement really is.
“To edit it, and write it, and create it, and curate it, it’s a big responsibility,” he said. “I don’t think they realize what they’re getting into.” Mr. Pachter an analyst for Wedbush Securities.

When it comes to designing or re-designing a website, it can be easy to get hung up on the aesthetics. "That shade of blue just doesn't look right .... Wouldn't it be cool to have the logo on the right side of the screen? .... How about we put a giant animated GIF in the middle of the page?"
However, if you're truly trying to accomplish something with your website (e.g., brand awareness, lead generation, etc.), you'll need to focus on more than just how your website looks.
In a world where folks have more than a billion websites they can potentially land on, you need to make sure your website's design is optimized for usability (how easy your website is to use) and user experience (how enjoyable interacting with your website is for actual users).
Now, you could spend years studying the ins and outs of usability and UX, but for the sake of giving you a jumping off point, we've put together the following list of helpful guidelines to apply to your next web design project.
8 Website Design Guidelines for an Exceptional User Experience
