This Restaurant rank on Tripadvisor 4th of 3216 Restaurants in Le Marche (1st of 57 Restaurants in Urbino) but still is an unusual Restaurant. Even the two young ladies, that manage the activity call it "Tasting Room".
Monia and Michela Costantini run a successful shop, Tartufi – Antiche Bonta, in the heart of Urbino.
There are many places in Urbino that sell truffles, but this is a special place.
It looks like a small shop from the outside, but they turned the basement into one of the most interesting places where to eat truffle dishes.
The building was erected in the 1400s, and the shop/restaurant still contains the original well.
You can eat traditional and original dishes because the owners invent recipes.
The sisters also use this room to host events such as dinners and graduations.
Good aspects of the place is the fact they buy their truffles directly, so there is no middle man, which keeps the prices interesting.  
Monia and Michela produce their own line of truffle sauces and teach their customers how to cook with the truffles and truffle products.
Urbino has fresh truffles all the year long, so everytime you arrive in Urbino you know where to go.

Although the French and Italians consider themselves truffle con­noisseurs, it was the Egyptians who first dis­covered the delights of consuming them. 

The Greeks and Ro­mans believed so ardent­ly in their aphrodisiac powers they dedicated them to Venus, goddess of love, giving rise to the ancient saying that “those who wish to lead virtuous lives must ab­stain from truffles.”

Truffles may win ac­colades in the taste cat­egory but only the most scrupulous gourmand is willing to overlook its ugly appearance. 

TRUFFLED PATE

INGREDIENTS

1,5 pounds fresh pork fat

1 pound lean boneless veal

1 pound boneless pork shoulder

0,5 pound best-quality ham

0,25 pound tongue

4 chicken breast halves, boned, skinned and trimmed

1 pound chicken livers

4 eggs

0,5 cup cognac

0,5 cup chopped black truffles

0,5 cup pistachio nuts

4 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon allspice

0,5 teaspoon cinnamon

0,25 teaspoon ground cloves

0,5 cup flour
