Images Actives est un logiciel libre (sous licence GNU/PL) plutôt destiné à un usage pédagogique, mais on peut très bien imaginer, pourquoi pas, de l'utiliser hors cadre scolaire pour une présentation, par exemple. C'est un outil qui permet d'utiliser des images de manière interactive en les enrichissant par des commentaires et des annotations.
Il fonctionne selon deux modes :
- un mode Découverte pour créer une image interactive commentée.
- un mode Quiz pour créer une image où seules apparaissent des questions, les réponses s’affichent en un clic.

Images Actives est en français et fonctionne aussi bien sous Windows, que sous Linux ou Mac.
