Triberr’s Mantra
Triberr’s mantra (or mission statement, if you went to business school :-p ) is to help bloggers be succesful.
And to bloggers, “successful” means three things:
Content distribution Content generation Engagement1. Content Distribution
This is where Triberr began.
Triberr enables bloggers to form tribes and effectively establish a long-term Tear 1 supporter networks.
Since everyone on Triberr is a blogger -and therefore audience builder- each share is worth much more than a share by your average Joe Facebook user. Gross generalization of course, but accurate for our purposes.

Content Relationship Management and LinkedIn
You might have heard the term, or might even be using a CRM in your marketing and sales efforts. If not, you should be! According to Wikipedia, “Customer relationship management (CRM) is a widely implemented model for managing a company’s interactions with customers, clients, and sales prospects.” When using social media, and in particular LinkedIn, we have the ability to download some contact information about connections (1st level contacts). LinkedIn doesn’t really have a useful CRM within its UI (user interface) so its you might consider utilizing third party apps like Avectra’s Social CRM.
Wikipedia continues, “It involves using technology to organize, automate, and synchronize business processes—principally sales activities, but also those for marketing, customer service, and technical support.”

Sometimes you’ll need to move your blog from one host to another. It’s a bit of a pain and might seem a daunting task if you’ve never done it before.
But transferring a site is a fairly straightforward process that you can do yourself with an FTP program and this step-by-step guide.
Before trying the DIY method, it’s worth checking to see whether your new hosting company offers a site transfer service for new customers. Many do—but check whether there’s a cost involved. I’ve seen free services for this, but I’ve also seen prices around $300!
If you just need to learn how to make a simple backup of your posts, and don’t need to move hosts, take a look at this ProBlogger post.
But if you’re ready to back up and move your blog, let’s do it.
What you need to begin

Spend some quality time with Reddit -- you'll find it an essential resource, a self-correcting marketplace of ideas. Get started with our guide.
To the uninitiated, Reddit looks like a mess — text links, comment threads, points, upvotes, downvotes. At best, posts seem contextless — at worst, totally random.
But spend some quality time with “The Front Page of the Internet,” and you’ll find it’s an essential resource, a self-correcting marketplace of ideas that’s nearly impervious to marketers.
Simply put, Reddit is a message board wherein users submit links. What differentiates it from a real-time information network like Twitter is that the stream of content is curated by the community. Items of value are “upvoted,” and those deemed unworthy are “downvoted.” This determines a post’s position on the site, and items that hit the front page are seen by hundreds of thousands of people (consequently, sending boatloads of traffic to the linked website).

How small business can perform better than brands in social media by focusing on simple goals, being human, ensuring satisfaction and measuring ROI...
I currently have the fortune to experience two different fronts of digital marketing. Under Plural, I work with brands and, with SocialMouths I mostly jam with small business, personal brands, and bloggers.
One of the reasons I absolutely love this setup is that they are two different worlds in how the social web is approached, how it’s handled and how success is measured.
So I’m here to tell you that, despite the ridiculous budgets and unlimited resources, small business has a huuuge advantage over brands when it come to social media.
Here are my thoughts:
Strategy. Or Not?

Maybe you want create your own infographic, here 10 tools to support you to do it. [note mg]
Information graphics, visual representations of data known as infographics, keep the web going these days. Web users, with their diminishing attention spans, are inexorably drawn to these shiny, brightly coloured messages with small, relevant, clearly-displayed nuggets of information. They’re straight to the point, usually factually interesting and often give you a wake-up call as to what those statistics really mean.
Who can resist a colourful, thoughtful venn diagram anyway? In terms of blogging success, infographics are far more likely to be shared than your average blog post. This means more eyeballs on your important information, more people rallying for your cause, more backlinks and more visits to your blog. In short, a quality infographic done well could be what your blog needs right now.

We are living in a world where influence is migrating from offline to online.
The ability to influence is also moving from local to global. Its reach is also transitioning to mobile devices.
Reputation and influence can now be gained faster and reach further than in any other time in history.
One definition of Influence is “the capacity to have an effect on the character, development or behavior of someone or something”
To be truly successful you must have the ability and power to influence.

A simple guide to understanding how to effectively use Twitter hashtags in marketing and how you shouldn't! [note mg]
Every time we host live webinars (and as this long list suggests, that is quite often), quite a few attendees get confused about what to do with the hashtag we provide. What is it? What does it do? How do you create one? Let me explain!
What is a hashtag?
A Twitter hashtag is simply a keyword phrase, spelled out without spaces, with a pound sign (#) in front of it. For example, #inboundchat and #ILoveChocolate are both hashtags.
What does a hashtag do?
A Twitter hashtag ties the conversations of different users into one stream, which you can find by searching the hastag in Twitter Search or by using a third-party monitoring tool such as HootSuite.

Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are great for building your brand -- but how do you find new customers? That's seems be the question from everyone in business! [note mg]
We all know social media is an important tool for brand awareness and customer acquisition — but how exactly are you supposed to convert random Twitter and Facebook users into real-life customers? Well, that depends.
Different brands have different challenges when it comes to customer acquisition: “If you’re our customer, you’ve signed up for a year-long service, unlike the Starbucks of the world, where you can be a customer by coming in for a cup of coffee one day,” says Lisa D’Aromando, social media community manager at Equinox. Whether you’re a clothing shop, a restaurant or a subscription service, you must tailor your strategy so that it makes sense for your brand. That said, there are a few universal ways to help your company attract new faces on the social web...

I am thoroughly convinced that Connect.Me will obliterate Klout as well as PeerIndex and possibly Kred as well. Connect.me aims to humanize reputation scoring. Clout from our peers, with incredible transparency. Further, how Trust is regarded, as Connect.Me is still being crafted, this is what wins you over.
The vouches are only the beginning. We are going to see stats per specialty/general public and by specialty/within our connections, and we will thus know who the 'go-to' person is, whether we want to fish within our own pond or worldwide, and we will have this from Connect.me...

More Than One Way To Communicate
Of course, communication can take many forms. For example, you can reply to emails when you have time, rather than chain yourself to a device to reply to every one when it arrives.
In that vein, Gray compares Stratten’s insistence about using Twitter primarily for real-time communication to be “like saying all conversations should be on the phone.” He further points out that email or letters (what he calls asynchronous communication) are valid forms of communication.

What’s the scariest Halloween costume you can imagine this year? The villain from this year’s hot horror movie? Zombies, vampires, the devil? Fat Elvis? Not for me.
The most terrifying specter that might show up on my doorstep begging for a Snickers bar is … The aggressive, pushy salesman. (Shudder.) Do you feel the same? Does selling make you feel … dirty?
You’re not naïve, of course. You know that somebody has to put up a website, write an advertisement, or pound the pavement to drum up sales, or you won’t have enough money to keep the lights on.
But can’t it be somebody else?

A few weeks ago, I wrote a post here at problogger.net about how Firepole Marketing makes money.
I explained that even though we’re less than a year old, we’ve already made over $20,000, and that over half of that came from offline sources.
We wanted to know how other bloggers make their money. Is it all online, or do they make their money offline as well?
In other words, we wanted to know if they were Semi-Local.
In October 2011, we surveyed 153 people; 107 who were already Semi-Local, and 46 who aspired to be. We asked a number of questions to find out what was really involved in becoming and being Semi-Local. Here are the highlights of what we learned.

Leadership may be defined in part as a process of influence.
Strangely, as I was searching for definitions of leadership I saw this list of leadership synonyms on Dictionary.com: authoritativeness, influence, command, effectiveness; sway, clout (emphasis mine).
However, many may know of another spelling: Klout with a “K”
Klout defines itself as the arbiter of social media influence. In their words, they provide The Standard for Influence. When the company recently unleashed their new algorithm, many people in social media saw their scores radically drop. For those schooled on this “credibility” framework, it was disorienting or irritating...

Blogging is simply one of the best things you can do to build your brand. Writing in a blog doesn’t always have to be a time consuming task. The main core of your writing should be to educate and entertain your readers.
Content means value, and you always want to provide your readers with a great deal of value.
I would recommend that you focus your blog around a topic in which you are passionately interested. The huge advantage of basing your blog around your passions is that it will be fun and exciting everyday. Remember – when you do what you’re passionate about, it never feels like work. However, many people often wonder – “How do I keep coming up with content?”...
