Protecting tigers is important for many reasons. Tigers are one of the most endangered species on Earth, with only 3,100 to 4,000 left in the wild. There are also around 1,700 in captivity.

Tigers are a keystone species. They play an important role in their ecosystems by eating large prey and helping to keep populations of other animals in check. Their disappearance could disrupt entire ecosystems.

There are several ways you can help protect tigers. You can pledge to never buy products made with tiger parts or ivory, lobby your government to pass stronger laws protecting tigers, or donate money to organizations working to protect them.

 

What Can We Do to Help Tigers?

There are an estimated 3,943 tigers remaining in the wild, according to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Of these, 1,706 live in protected areas. Sadly, there has been a significant decline in tiger populations over the past several decades. A primary reason for this decline is human-wildlife
