Increased Cooling Degree Days and Decreased Heating Degree Days from 1979-2022

A recent analysis by Eurostat, released on February 27,2023, revealed that the need to heat a given building in the EU from 1979 to 2022 has decreased by almost a fifth. More specifically, the heating degree days (HDD) went down from 3510 HDD to 2858 (19% drop).
