With three acres of garden and private woodland, this stunning seven bedroom abbey (including two separate apartments each sleeping two) is in a magnificent position overlooking rolling hills and mountain valleys in the heart of Italy. All areas of this holiday home offer lavish comfort and style.

The Abbey is in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, located in the north west of Le Marche, one of Italy’s three central regions alongside Umbria and Tuscany (whose borders are only 20 minutes’ away). You can fly direct to Ancona airport, just over an hour’s drive away, where it is best to hire a car to reach the house.

Once you’ve arrived, you can simply bask in the luxury of your surroundings or head out by car to the local towns (where there are plenty of restaurants and shopping) or further afield to the coastal towns of Rimini, Fano and Pesaro, all just an hour’s drive away. The region is steeped in history waiting to be explored and enjoyed – from archeological sites and castles to pageants in the old town centres.

Ian, the owner, runs a PR firm in London and bought the abbey eight years ago, when he fell in love with the views. He spent four years renovating 20 of the rooms and creating an oasis of pleasure.
